A colorful sunset photography print on canvas of the sun going down over the sea. Vibrant teal and blue with sunset colours and glowing orange of the setting sun, a dramatic image that looks great in this large size.
This large sunset makes you want to sit back with a nice glass in your hand and watch the sun go down on a remote island, no one there but the birds. All you can hear is the soft splash of the water as it rolls up the beach.
Printed at 30 x 30 inches with a 3 inches white border for a total of 36 x 36 inches.
Taken after a long drive down a winding single track road late in the evening when I thought I was lost. Then all of a sudden the road stopped at a small beach where the waves were crashing on the shore and the outline of the Cuillins lay on the horizon. I used long exposure techniques with my camera to capture this image and then worked to bring out the best of the fabulous colours of the Scottish landscape.
About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, Aquarelle Paper and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.
About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.
