‘Heavenly' is an original hummingbird painting by British artist Sian Storey.

It's painted on a deep wooden board sized at 70 x 100cm, with a depth of 5cm.

Sian used acrylic and spray paint to create this calming and serene painting. The soothing colours of duck egg blue, teal, dusty pink, lilac and gold provide a soothing backdrop against the hummingbirds in flight. The gold spray paint catches the light with a shimmering effect. You’ll get lost in the beauty of this painting every time you gaze at it.

‘Heavenly' was painted during summer 2020 in Sian Storey’s studio in Hampshire, England. The painting actually began life back in early 2019, with Sian returning to it over the next year.

Sian paints in layers, building up layers of paint and texture as she goes. The spray paint is used to diffuse edges and lines, creating a hazy, ethereal finish.
