Original artwork description:

I was inspired by a painting called “Mother and Child Enthroned” painted in 1470 by Antonio de Negroponte. This piece sits in a chapel in Venice and what caught my attention was that it looked like he’s painted the sky as sea and the angels are swimming instead of flying.

For weeks I wondered why he would do that? I know that feeling when you are diving in the warm sea on holiday and watching the colourful fishes gently go by. The sun glistening on the surface while you move in slow motion excited what you’ll see next. There is no worry in sight, just ease and calm. In the end I came to the conclusion that “heaven” or bliss is already on earth if I just allow it and follow my heart. This is “Heaven on earth”.
