Original artwork description:

Inspired by the colours and textures of heather on the moors in summer - this is a subject I've returned to many times after visiting the North Yorkshire Moors last summer. The sun was out all day and the heathery shades of pink, magenta and lilac were stunning.
I've tried to capture some of the atmosphere of the landscape in this watercolour painting by using collaged fragments of many different hand painted pieces of paper, with nearly every piece incorporating a different watermedia technique.
Several of the other watercolour paintings in my Artfinder shop (from cityscapes to paintings of dresses) have been selected for and exhibited with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour at the Mall Galleries, London.
This painting is sold sold mounted and framed in a simple white frame with perspex and is ready to hang.
