This is a painting of Brentor Church on top of the hill. The view is taken from Dartmoor National Park when the Heather and Gorse are out. I have used vibrant oils and the palette knife to build up layers of paint, so this painting is textured and a powerful representation of an iconic landmark.
I am fortunate enough to see Brentor from my garden and walk my dog Jack on Dartmoor whatever the weather. This image is uplifting and embedded into my psyche. The canvas is painted around the edges, has cord on the back, so does not need framing and is ready to hang. I hope you like it.
