This atmospheric study of Ahlftener Flatt near Soltau captures the mysterious quality of a heath pond in spring. The dark verticals of tree trunks frame the composition like bass notes in a musical score, while the water’s reflective surface creates a contemplative counterpoint. The painting merges my Nordic Jazz influences with the natural rhythms of this unique wetland landscape.

The composition’s strong vertical elements are balanced by the horizontal calm of the water, creating a natural tension that draws the viewer into the scene’s depth.
