The Girl series was born out of a desire to create images of young girls using architectural modular structures. It was a kind of experiment with the module that eventually led to a series of works. Sometimes the works used modular elements, as in 'Heat', 'Juicy', and 'Berry'. Other times, the focus was on the modularity of the decorative elements used in the composition, as in 'Small Berries'. Some of the works were more modular, with parts of the composition based on modules, as in 'Rainbow'. Others were less modular but still had a modular feel, as in 'Breeze', where the imagery was kept but the composition was more realistic.

When it came to putting together the compositions, the main technique was to take the general idea as far as it could go. Of course, the emphasis on this technique differed from one work to the next. For instance, it was barely noticeable in 'Breeze', but was used to great effect on the hair and face in 'Small Berries', with the hands being more realistic. In the works 'Heat', 'Juicy' and 'Berry', the ultimate generalisation is used to create the figure itself or individual elements, such as the hair in 'Juicy'.

The works in this series don't usually have a separate plot or deeper meaning, but they're all part of the same idea. Each one has its own image that fits with the series as a whole.

The sculpture is made of two parts that are not connected. Good for technical tasks such as transportation, installation and storage.
