I've taken a break from commission work to paint this expressive and experimental portrait. I love the indistinctness of this image which forces the watcher to use the imagination to form it in their mind. This is a direction I plan to explore soon.
The paint has been applied thinly in successive washes together with scumbling thicker paint when dry.
