This work came to existence from an older abstract piece...
In my painting I always like to leave a bit of the past, some under painting from the moment before.
A trace of yesterday, a hint of the then.
This helps in a layer process I call PUSHING and PULLING and aids in creation of depth and builds character.
I believe canvases that have been painted over and over again develop a sort of personality that a fresh flat brand new canvas does not. Scars per say, personality from experience...
This work was an abstract and I am in the process of a new series of works involving a surreal feel. Suggesting and playing with what is inside the mind and around
and how those two are similar
if not the same.
