The Invisible Folly No.4 is part of a large group of contemporary landscape oil paintings. This piece is my favorite to date from the series. The Invisible Folly series explores drama through contrasting visual elements with an idea I've been developing for some time: creating connections with suggestions rather than literal interpretations to tell a story. Technically, the series seeks the interesting spaces that develops between heavily textured paint, palette knife handling, blade scrapes and soft glazing.
