This is a work intuitively rendered and inspired by Molly’s monologue in James Joyce’s Ulysses.
I find these last pages of the book are the most beautiful in the English language.
To paint this work I used artist quality acrylic colours as well as spray paint on a Daler Rowney stretched canvas.
In the detail shots you can see the different textures of the work.
The sides are painted in the colours of the painting so the process of the work can be seen.
I added a fixture at the back of the canvas so it is ready to hang without a frame.
The work in inches is 9 x 12 x 0.6
acrylic, spray paint
