This is a portrait of a British brown hare in hazelnut color.I love them because they are beautiful, cute looking and lovable creatures with large brown eyes and long,see-through ears.They are seen a lot in spring and summer months,bouncing in and out of grasslands constantly, using their sturdy and long hind legs.
This hare has been painted as a portrait to show off the beauty of his eyes and ears.I have painted him in my usual wet-on wet style, using various hues to give the impression of 'brown'

The painting is new, unframed and will be shipped flat.
