A chunky canvas painting of a freshly turned hay meadow just west of Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales.
We had just completed a walk along the River Swale. The path took a turn away from the river and up between meadows flanked by dry stone walls. Looking back across the wall was the meadow - neat rows of grasses chopped and turned ready for baling and in the distance a stone barn.
The canvas is ready to hang. The sides of the canvas are also painted so the image covers the whole of the canvas.
acrylic and ink
