Original artwork description:

I can look at architecture for hours. The architecture is always different, touched by time and history. All these details, texture, chips, scuffs.

For example, a keyhole. Have you ever looked through a keyhole? Have you spyed on someone? What is she hiding? History, secrets, someone else's life? I love the backstage and always wonder what is hidden there, from the world and other people's eyes?

I adore to paint architecture and especially doors and its innermost parts (and the keyhole is that innermost detail). I always think about the stories and events that this door saw and heard. Was she an unwitting participant in joyful events, secret conversations, conspiracies? Or perhaps she was the witness of disagreement and loud quarrels? Either way, she is living a very rich and fulfilling life, hiding everything behind this keyhole.

NOTE: The colors shown on your screen and/or web viewing devices may vary slightly from the actual painting or print colors. The images in-home might not be to scale, and serve for illustration purposes only.

Materials used:

Watercolor, watercolor pencils, colored pencils
