This mixed media painting was inspired by a Harvest Moon. The moon officially turns full when it reaches the spot opposite to the sun. This moon is called a Harvest Moon and it occurs at a certain time of year which is the Saturday nearest to the 23rd September. Once in every three years we get the same full moon in October. The full moon in September is called the Harvest moon because farmers are able continue their harvest late into the night by the light of the moon. The same moon appears on three consecutive days, but the one that appears on Saturday is the one that is called a Harvest Moon.
The sides are painted so no need for framing and it has been fitted with chord so is ready to hang. It has been signed on the side.
