Hartland moor sunset, Dorset
Gold, yellow and peach for the radiance,
Earthy grey, silvery blue wispy clouds,
Rosewood and mahogany brown,
Highlights of canary yellow for the gorse flowers,
Phthalo turquoise bushes and grasses.

I was very much inspired by the rich tapestry of ethereal colours and I walk this amazing diverse area of Dorset throughout the seasons. The best sunsets I feel are in the Winter.
To achieve this I wet the paper and using my sable hair brush I created a wash of Gamboge and mixed in some crimson to make peach. So I basically got all the warm colours on first then painted the thin clouds over the top while the paper was damp.
