The interpretation of the zebra as a metaphor for a person's life has become firmly established: its black and white stripes correspond to the bad and good events that we overcome throughout life. From this point of view, it symbolizes the acceptance of life as it is, a series of all its events. If we turn to the interpretation of the zebra in the ancient Chinese philosophical doctrine of "feng shui", then it symbolizes calmness and equanimity in any situation, and in Indonesian mythology the zebra is a symbol of harmony in life. The human mind divided the whole world into good and bad, black and white, not realizing that there are no opposites in this striping. The zebra symbol only reminds us that everything in life is harmonious.
