"Harmonie en Bleus" is another work re-worked, those I let in stand-by waiting for improvement. It's funny how sometimes I sense some of my paintings are not finished, people would say, it's abstract how do I know about that?
When I work and re-work it's because I am not satisfied, it is often a lack of fluidity, there is no flow in the way I travel through the painting with my eyes. So I keep what I do, I look at it with intensity till I find a path, a pattern, a better composition lines or colours, in this case it has a lot of similarities with the music composition, it is to find the harmonious melody.
The work on paper allows me to do research about techniques, colours, textures; it's the permanent quest for harmony. I create samples of emotions, each paper is a desire... a desire of texture, a desire of light, a desire of colour.... an expressed desire of many ranges of emotions. Often it is also the desire to sublime the blue, a colour that I adore. I like when the shapes of the motifs are organic, natural, soft on the edge, leaking, bubbling, when it has some fluidity.
The work on paper has started in 2015, it has been, and still is my laboratory.
MATERIALS:
"Harmonie en Bleus" is painted with Acrylic paint, on a 230g/m² paper, it is signed on the back and front, and will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
