Artwork description:
This linocut is inspired by a Staffordshire china figure I drew recently. I cut and printed it in black on bright white 200g paper and as I printed it I added a piece of harlequin patterned tissue paper onto the lady's dress. This process of adding paper while printing is known as Chine Collé. The addition makes each print unique.
Materials used:
Lino printed on 200g Snowdon Cartridge paper using water washable inks
