Original artwork description:
One of my occasional collaged harbour paintings, this quayside scene is built up in layers of paper and paint. I've included the village houses tumbling down to the quay, the old harbour walls and a couple of boats moored up on the sea. Lots of texture, this painting is mixed media so has some of the roughness I associate with real harbours. A palette of blues and terracottas with neutrals.
The final painting has been varnished to hold everything in place and preserve the colour, the sides are painted white and the painting is strung on the back ready to hang.
It measures 40cm x 40cm x 3.5cm.
I’ve signed the back and it will be sent with a signed certificate of authenticity but please let me know if you would like it signed on the front and I’ll be happy to do so.
