Original artwork description:

This piece is a Charcoal portrait of happy Baby Asian Elephant that I saw at the Elephant Safari Park in Taro, Bali. The park has many Elephants rescued from being used for illegal logging in Sumatra and offers them a much safer and more relaxed environment. This is a very cute and energetic baby that had been born at the park. My wife and I were very fortunate to stay at the park for a few nights and had a great time interacting with and observing the elephants. It is very interesting to see their behavior and we even got the chance to stay over night and see them sleeping. Elephants are my favourite animals because of their size, power, grace, loving personalities and bonds. I really love how Asian Elephants always look like they are smiling and happy because of the shape of their mouths. I did numerous sketches and took many photos whilst at the park and used them as references to draw this Charcoal portrait in my studio in Taipei City, Taiwan. I enjoy using Charcoal and an eraser to build up and take away areas of light, shade and detail.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
