Original artwork description:

This cat looks very happy with himself dozing in the sun. I liked the textiles in this painting and thought the colours complimented the ginger of the cat's fur.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
