Artwork description:

A Joyful Minimalist Seascape in Soft Summer Hues

This piece captures the quiet joy of a summer morning on the clifftops near my studio, looking across the water toward Rona and the Scottish mainland. As the sun rose, golden light broke gently through a soft veil of mist, painting the sky in tones of hazy blue, violet, and blush pink. Hints of distant mountains and mauve-tinted clouds added to the sense of peaceful wonder.

The image was created in-camera using intentional movements that allow me to abstract the scene while retaining its emotional essence. I then carefully develop the image to enhance the colours, atmosphere, and the feeling that inspired me in the moment. I’m always drawn to the luminous aqua tones of the water around the Scottish Islands and aim to reflect the calming, expansive spirit of this remarkable place.

I hope, that when hanging on your wall, this lovely piece takes you to a beautiful place in your life when you stood and gazed in wonder at what Nature has created.

The canvas is signed, titled and numbered on the front. It has a 2 inch white border for the framer to use to stretch around the frame.

I photograph and print every image, I do not outsource any part of my workflow. Each canvas has been painstakingly crafted to ensure the true colours, resolution and texture are exactly as they should be.
