Original artwork description:
I painted this after a summer camping trip to the North Norfolk coast, where I continued capturing the East Anglian coastline.
In the forefront of the painting, I have included part of the rock embankment that was built to slow the coastal. The sea attacks and undercuts the cliff that is layercake of silt, clay and sand, and on average the cliff recedes by three metres a year. In places, remains of clifftop buildings can still be seen such as waterpipes and concrete.
Painted round the sides and varnished ready to hang.
