I have no set way of painting the human face. I start with the thought and the face changes as I paint, almost dictated by the canvas texture. This is why I very rarely make preparatory sketches. I find they do not transfer well, almost like it goes from sincere to insincere._x000D_ _x000D_ I rather go direct to the canvas, and let the paint dictate where I go. Each canvas, I feel, seems to have a mind of its own and its best to start a painting by listening to it. Then the painting gets to the point where I can see a shape that dictates an expression. The story begins in my head and I carry on painting accenting the emotion I saw swirling in the paint originally. I keep painting, keep accenting the emotion and then, when I feel I have achieved that, I try and stop._x000D_ _x000D_ The giclee fine art prints are done by specialist fine art printers. These are the best fine arts prints get, as I am almost obsessed with having faithful reproduction of the painting._x000D_ _x000D_ The original oil on canvas comes with a certificate of authenticity and they are packaged up extremely carefully, as to allow for a safe journey to your home. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
