Original artwork description:

"Hand study 3" - Small oil sketch - 22X27 cm - FRAMED

Oldies but goldies. Small oil sketch from 1998.

Each piece of this serie of 4 oil sketches is painted on canvas board.

I made hand studies, to practice how to paint the light on a part of human body. The hands are... mine !
This is a tonalist painting, in chiaroscuro, made on an opaque venetian red ground.
Light are made with opaque Naples yellow, and shadows with transparent burnt umber

The canvas board is framed in a vintage aspect frame, with a golden border that highlights the paint.
IMPORTANT : The frames also are from 1998, so there are a little bit damaged, but nothing very visible
(all details on the extra photos). Apart from that, they are good stuff. There are ready to hang with a system on the back (photos)

These little pieces are part of my artistic history. I love them, and I want someone can enjoy them.
That's why I offer them at a special low price.

Signed on the front "M." and on the back.

This artwork will be delivered with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity.
Shipping carefully packed, insured and tracked.
