Original artwork description:

This Oil Pastel on Black Paper drawing was done during a trip to the beautiful Hakodate area of Hokkaido, Japan. My wife and I hiked up to this viewpoint and stayed from the afternoon to the evening to see the sunset. I drew this piece “en plein air” and it is a view of the special landscape that is surrounded on both sides by ocean. It is very beautiful at any time of the day! I tried to use Oil Pastels to capture the view more expressively without so much concern for realistic details, just suggestions of forms. As I drew the sun was setting and I added the warm colours that were illuminating the city from behind our viewpoint.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
