The work is handmade
Bichromate gum is a 19th century photographic printing process based on the light sensitivity of dichromates. It allows to obtain pictorial images from photographic negatives. Gum printing is traditionally a multi-layer printing process, but satisfactory results can be obtained with a single pass. Any color can be used for rubber printing, so it is also possible to produce natural color photographs using this layered technique.
In this work I have mixed six layers of bichromate gum.
Image format: 32x44 cm on 250 gsm Fabriano watercolor paper.
