Artwork description:

This linear piece was inspired by the pigeon guillemots I often watch off the coast of southeast Alaska and further south. They are rotund and comical on land but sleek and agile in their preferred element. I enjoyed imagining the underwater aspect of their lives, seldom seen by human viewers.
