This grey heron often seen by the river I walk by. Their wingspan is as wide as small boat. As they swooping from the air onto the water their grey feathers are glistening by the bright morning sun light. Sometimes they sit on on spot for very long time and stay in motionless that it almost looks like a status made of dying wood. Once my family was disputing if they are real animal or piece of wood looks like a bird.
I used oil paint with lots of thick textures to create dominant rocks and soft gentle brush with the bird. painting size 12 by 16,
