Original artwork description:

In the middle of an open field, that at one time was farm land, stands a lone white pine. Surround at the base by some smaller maples and birch, it stands guard. From year to year it watches over the field, it alone is old enough to hold all the stories hidden within the land. One of the last giants in the area, it stands witness.

Guardian of the Field is 11 x 14 inches on stretched canvas. It was painted plein aire in the middle of the field. Wired and ready to hang.

Materials used:

oils on canvas
