This Lake District bridge was painted in my studio from sketches and photographs that I put together when I was in the Lake District on a walking holiday several years ago. This little stone bridge crosses the Grisedale Beck, and I was inspired by the light beneath the bridge and the colour of the stream over the rocky pebbles.
