Original artwork description:

Original
A figurative abstraction representing the calm and violent emotion of grief.
Grief is usually associated with sadness but not anger. There is a violent feeling of anger and despair when in grief as well as sadness. Even though blue signifies sadness, I created texture by splattering paint and drawing very dark lines for despair. This erratic unpredictability of the splattering contrasts with the flowing lines of tears running throughout the piece. The despair and sadness fight within the piece signifying the inner turmoil of a person
