Original artwork description:

This painting is a break from my normal style of working, it's very loose and painterly and I love the small drips and layers, even the glimpses of pencil marks hidden in the surface.
I wanted to tell a story and evoke feelings of elegance and quiet affluence with the grand furnishings whilst portraying a slightly somber tone.
Great Expectations has been painted with acrylics on a stretched canvas W24 x H36 inches. It has been sealed and is unframed but ready to hang.
The title, date and my signature nis on the back.
