I’ve done this drawing on location at the natural History Museum. The grey heron (Ardea cinerea) is a tall bird, with long legs, a long beak and grey, black and white feathering. They can stand with their neck stretched out, looking for food, or hunched down with their neck bent over their chest.
Materials used: pencil, charcoal, sepia, white chalk;
Fixative for preserving the drawing. Matted and acid-free passepartout

The drawing is carefully packed, sandwiched between two rigid cardboard sheets and posted in a reinforced envelope ensuring that the drawing will reach you safely.
