In October 2014 my family and I visited Ile de Rae, a beautiful Island off of the upper West Coast of France. I took a photograph from the roof of the church across the rooftops of the fishing village and toward the harbour. The painting was then completed at home in my studio. The paint has been applied using both brushes and palette knives creating texture across several layers of paint application. I truly love this painting. The terracotta\orange rooftops contrasting with the white walls of the buildings beautifully. I have revisited the painting and done some further work on it, now making it available for purchase.
Winsor & Newton heavy body acrylics applied with brushes and palette knives on a canvas board framed with no glass frontage.
