One of the many lovely old doors in Venice. I like the way the paint has worn away over the years and just left enough colour to show what it was like originally.. It must have been a beautiful vibrant green. Posts outside the door with ropes hanging from them waiting for a boat to return. The painting is in oils on canvas on panel. Painted on all sides and ready to hang. It is unframed. The doors in Venice are one of my favourite subjects to paint. I hope you enjoy looking at the painting and thankyou for visiting my work.
