The human figure has always been the most challenging and interesting subject for me. With that said, I consider myself a painter of people rather than a portraitist. I seek to capture a universal mood or emotion versus the likeness of a single individual. I use props or poses that create an element of mystery, inviting the viewer to create their own narrative and take something more personal from the work. This oil on board painting is in a simple gallery frame, suitable for immediate hanging or easily replaced by a frame of the collector's choice.
