Original artwork description:

This man lived on the island of Lesbos. On holiday there I used to watch him pull his donkey along the beach every morning at the same time. Near the end of the holiday I plucked up courage to ask him if he minded posing for a couple of photographs. No words were exchanged but he stopped for a few minutes to let me and then went on his way.
