Original artwork description:

Pop-styled, cartoon characters inspired by super fan emotions that show up at pop and rock concerts

Playful humour, star struck adulation to greet you every day. This is an audience that anticipates a good time.

Painted in bold acrylic on Italian canvas. This will pop out of what ever wall you put it on and, hopefully, bring some cheer into your day with its sweet party vibes.

I make character based art, showcasing my work at festivals all over the globe where I usually let participants join in and go crazy with colour. These characters are born in the furnaces of my sketch books and mural /streetart work.

Hope you like it.

My passion has always been pop subculture, comic and urban outsider art, stuff on the peripheral vision of mainstream. Visual arts has been always been my way of living, from graphic design to backdrop painting, illustration to fine art. Part of my practice is making and presenting giant hand made graffiti colouring walls at events and festivals all over the UK and the world. The characters i make often feel like they need to be more fully realised - and this is where my paintings start. My artworks are usually acrylic on canvas stretchers or wooden panels, some are meticulously applied layers of paint, others are acrylic pens and spray, some times my work is purposefully low brow, sometimes ultra coloured - or simply the essential work of black ink and brush. I love those cartoon anthropomorphic pop-culture emotions that pervade our daily culture, I love the humour and desire to love and be loved that underpin the best aspects of humanity whilst also enjoying poking a finger at the more absurd and ego-centric side of us.

Materials used:

acrylic paint, acrylic ink
