The elephant is my totem animal. I have spent many hours in the African bush photographing and observing these huge, wise and often gentle creatures. In this work, I speak to the power that occurs when we work together "ubuntu" as opposed to apart. The symbols I've used in the background come from the Adrinka, Xhosa and other tribes. They breathe messages of hope, love, courage, strength etc. into the environment.
