The Great Gray Owl is my favorite owl. There's a bird rescue program at WSU in Pullman, Washington, and they bring birds to events for people to see. They had a great gray with them. It was incredible! It's big, gray, and so still! The birds are not let into the wild because they have some injury that handicaps them. It was such an experience to be able to view them up close.

So here is my great gray! I drew him onto linoleum, cut him out, and printed him onto Italian Fabriano paper. Then I went in and colored him! I hope you enjoy him as much as I do!
