Great Blue Heron is a large, graceful bird with broad, two-toned wings, long legs and slender,curving neck. Herons are a majestic sight whether poised at a river bend or cruising the coastline.I particularly liked this one with his crown striped with black and white, so I have painted him as a portrait.
The style is a combination of loose and crisp strokes, with his bright yellow beak breaking the monotony of white and gray.
The painting is new ; it will be shipped flat.
