Original artwork description:

Abstract painting of graphite molecules, inspired by Australian Aboriginal art in acrylic and enamel. The painting is textured with acrylic painted over enamels and then sanded to show the enamel colour, with the ring details overlaid in acrylic.
The 6 circles represent a benzene ring (6 carbon atoms in a ring) - Graphite is made up of carbon atoms in ring form. The dots of the rings continue down the sides of the canvas.
Signature is on the lower right hand side of the deep canvas.
