This original 24"x36" oil painting was inspired by the quintessential wild beauty for which the California Big Sur Coast is renowned. Garrapata State Park is one of a series of beautiful State Parks along the Big Sur coast. It features spectacular scenery, massive rugged cliffs, a variety of hiking trails, and endless spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.
Materials: Oil paint on oil-primed stretched Old Holland linen canvas. Old Holland canvases are made exclusively from Claessens Linen, crafted from woven natural flax from Belgium. These canvases feature Claessens revered traditional oil priming, hand-stretched on professional quality European stretchers. They are back stapled to maintain clean edges for frameless gallery presentation.

The painting is varnished with Gamvar varnish. It is unframed, wired in the back on the stretcher bars, and ready to hang without a frame.
