Original artwork description:

This gouache painting was inspired by the southbound scenic drive on the HWY1 in Northern California along the Garrapata coast.
Gouache painting on 5"x7" RayMar cold-press watercolor paper mounted on ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) panel. Gouache is very closely related to watercolor. It uses the same gum Arabic binder, but has more pigment which is not ground as finely as watercolor. Professional gouache colors are so opaque and vibrant, because they have the highest pigment load of any other painting medium.

Framed in 1"-wide white wood frame. The painting is varnished and framed without glass. The frame comes with both an easel backing and hanging hardware for table top or wall display.

Materials used:

gouache, watercolor cold press paper, ACM panel, varnish
