An original watercolor and gouache sketch of the view of Arches rock formation near Birds Island in Point Lobos Nature Reserve near Carmel-by-the-Sea in California. In this piece, I focused on capturing the feel of the place and the fleeting light. I was attracted to the colorful rocks reflections and the shadows in the archway.
