This is a 3 moon luna phase piece that is part of my moon phase series in long format watercolour paper. I used the deep green pigment from watercolour and Chinese pigment sets that often works best to achieve vibrant deep tones. Black ink mixes in unique ways with the pigments and I have to keep the paper moving as it dries to get the best effects. Then I paint the moon shapes over the top in silver ink. The piece comes mounted on an A2 piece of white paper so it can be inserted in any A2 frame. It has a white frame here but let me me know if a black one would be better and I can swap them over.
