This sculpture takes its name, as a tribute, from Cézanne's painting "Les Grandes Baigneuses." A classic painting in the history of contemporary art. Focusing on the concept of a person resting on the shore after sunbathing, we propose a geometric form that arches from one end to the other, giving rhythm to the piece. The work starts from this arch and opens into a circular shape with an oculus in the center, resembling a face. Two oblique elements allow the form to rest on the plane, like the arms or elbows of the bather who, after bathing, dries on the shore. The golden paint finish suggests the Sun received by the bather, endowing the moment with a strange unreality, as seen in Cézanne's paintings.
