Painted on-site in the artist's neighborhood in Minneapolis. Features a large ash tree in autumn shades of lemon yellow, golden yellow, and golden brown. The background shows glimpses of an equally large evergreen tree, burgundy-red shrubs, and pale green grass. The sky is a dramatic blue-purple and pink. The ground is dusted with fallen leaves. The background was created with casein paint, and glazed over with oil. The texture of the tree's foliage is enhanced with oil paint thickly applied by palette knife. Iridescent paint in shades of pearl, copper, and russet has been incorporated into the foliage. Oil on canvas with painted sides: it is ready to hang and requires no frame, but may be framed if desired.
